Do I need to book an appointment?
What is the price range of your wedding dresses?
Our bridal gowns range in price from around £1,400 to £3,600. The average price is approximately £2,000.
When is your next sample sale?
Sample sales will be highlighted on our website and social media pages.
How long before my wedding should I search for my bridal gown?
Which sample sizes do you stock?
We stock one sample per wedding gown and sample sizes vary according to fit and style. We always do our best to show you how your dream dress would look in your size, altered to fit you perfectly – we have lots of tricks of the trade!
Do you do wedding dress alterations?
We know how important it is that your wedding gown fits perfectly, which is why we have a list of local seamstresses we recommend. Most wedding gowns will need to be altered to fit, so we suggest you consider this when deciding on your budget.
Can I take photos in your bridal boutique?
We’re very proud of our beautiful countryside boutique so we love it when customers post images of it on Instagram! We do ask, however, that you respect the wishes of our designer brands by not photographing the dresses until the bride has found 'The One'.
How do I pay for my wedding dress?
For all full price wedding gowns, we ask that you pay 50% once you've said 'Yes to the Dress' and then the remaining 50% once it has been delivered to the boutique.
Sale dresses must be paid for in full and unfortunately, we can’t put gowns on hold.
What should I wear to my appointment?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable when you’re trying on the wedding dresses. We suggest wearing nude underwear (including a strapless bra), but if you don’t, we’ll cope! Your stylist will help you to change in and out of gowns, but please don’t worry, we do this every day! If you’ve already bought your wedding shoes, bring them along. If not, just have the rough heel height in mind that you'd like to wear on your big day.
One thing we do ask is that you don’t wear lots of makeup and perfume. These transfer really easily onto our beautiful dresses, and we want the gowns you try on to be as perfect as possible.
Who can I bring with me?
Please note that during the COVID-19 epidemic we will be following guidelines on PPE for all of of those in attendance. We will be limiting guests to 2 people only to protect our staff and customers. More information will be sent to Brides upon booking.
How do I get to Love in Lace?
We’re hidden away in the Kent countryside, so we’ll send you instructions on how to find us with your confirmation when you book your appointment. We suggest you come by car if you can (sadly public transport doesn’t stop outside our door), but you can book taxis to and from our local train stations if you need to. Join us in the countryside for a truly unique and idyllic experience!
